Here’s another really tasty recipe from The New Abs Diet Cookbook, which I changed to make it easier and therefore made it “my own” recipe. It has a really unique, but awesome, flavor and is super-easy and healthy!
- 2 cups packaged Broccoli Slaw (has shredded carrots in it)
- 1/2 tspn Cilantro
- 2 tspns Sesame Oil
- 1-1/2 tblspns Rice Vinegar
- 1/4 tspn Red-Pepper Flakes (less if you don’t like even a tiny bit of a bite)
Pour Sesame Oil and Rice Vinegar in medium-sized bowl. Mix in Cilantro and Red-Pepper Flakes. Pour in Broccoli Slaw and mix well to coat. Put in refrigerator until eaten.
Thanks for the recipe! Here’s another version of “your own”:
Substitute the vinegar and oil with Paul Newman’s low fat Sesame Ginger dressing (think Asian salad dressing) (35 calories). Even less work!
Eliminate the cilantro or substitute parsley (cilantro is a tricky flavor for some people)
And to make it a meal, just put some rotisserie chicken that you bought at Dominick’s.

Thanks, Anne! I will definitely be trying your alternate versions!
