Sneakers that you can really sink your teeth into

The office received some nice little treats for many of our department members participating on the Ronald McDonald House Charities Marathon team, as well as our health/fitness support through the blog here. Charles was even inspired to join us in our Healthy Choice Goals when he heard about it! And yes, those are actual cookies decorated as running/walking shoes!

Here was his note along with the great cookies:

July 13, 2011

Dear US TL&D,

Thank you(!) for the commitment you are making to your own health and fitness, and for the commitment you are making to help support the health and well being of the children and families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Whether you are training to run with Team RMHC in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon; challenging yourself to run or walk to achieve a summer ‘mileage goal;’ or serving as part of the “support crew” encouraging the efforts of your running colleagues—please know how truly grateful we are for all that you are doing, for all the good and right reasons…

Keep training safe.

And (of course), keep running strong.

Charles Rubner,  Manager—team RMHC;
Bob Marshal,  VP, US Restaurant Operations,  McDonald’s USA, LLC,  Team Captain—Team RMHC, and Tim Kennedy, Sr. Director, Development, Ronald McDonald House Charities

Thanks so much, for all of your support AND for the coolest cookies, Charles! You are an inspiration to us all.

–Yours in fun fitness, Mike
